Listen - I think it’s time for me to come clean.
I went through this whole transformation journey after feeling so horrible about my body and believing all the lies and the misinformation in the fitness and health industry.
I tried so many "fat loss" diets, always hoping that the next one was the one that would change my life. But, it never did.
And I was so frustrated about being on this yo-yo diet rollercoaster for what seemed like my entire life that I decided to dive headfirst into learning about fat loss. That way, I could finally know, for once and for all, how to achieve my fat loss goals WITHOUT the fit teas and the 30 day cleanses.
And I did it. I learned, I changed my body and I transformed my life.
And then others took notice. They asked me what I did to lose the weight. And I was so EXCITED that I could finally help them - without sharing nonsense about "only drinking celery juice" or "not eating any carbs past 4pm" - that I decided I wanted to do this for a living.
I wanted to help women wade through the bullshit that “diet culture” had created and teach them how to build a sustainable healthy lifestyle that allowed them to reach their body goals, but still had them enjoying their life along the way.
And, for a while, it was working!
I got my Personal Training certification and started training clients in person. Then I moved to online training. Then, I created an awesome group program called Stronger Ever After and coached two rounds of women through a killer fitness & nutrition plan that helped them lose fat and get stronger in 30 days.
I started writing recipes. I grew my social media following. I started studying to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. I got involved as the head of Nutrition for another friend’s training business. I hosted nutrition workshops. I published my first meal prep cookbook.
It all sounds great, but along the way, I started forgetting WHY I was doing this in the first place.
