Grapefruit & Granola Yogurt Bowl

Does anyone else go through fruit phases? Because I sure do.

My latest fruit phase has been obsessing over... you guessed it... grapefruit.

It’s bitter and tangy and sweet and citrusy (without being too sour!) and just overall really, really addicting. I’ve been incorporating grapefruit in absolutely everything lately - protein smoothies (like my Grapefruit Protein Smoothie Bowls!), beverages (I make a mean Tequila Paloma, just for the record…), and even delicious yogurt bowls like these.

For this particular recipe, I paired some grapefruit pieces with plain 0% Greek yogurt, frozen blackberries and my Homemade Low-Sugar Granola, which adds in some healthy fats, a nutty and spiced cinnamon flavour and finishes it off with the perfect “crunch factor”.

It’s so delicious the way it is that I didn’t even need to add a sweetener (like honey or maple syrup); however, you can absolutely feel free to add some if you desire.

Recipe + directions available below!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup 0% plain Greek yogurt (I use Liberte’s lactose-free version!)

  • ½ serving of my Homemade Low-Sugar Granola

  • ¼ - ½ grapefruit, cut into pieces (this is entirely up to preference)

  • A handful of frozen or fresh blackberries

Optional: maple syrup, agave nectar or honey (to taste)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place Greek yogurt in a bowl.

  2. Layer granola, grapefruit and blackberries on top. (Bonus points if you fancy it up like I did!)

  3. Dig in & enjoy immediately.
