Asian Sesame Beef Stir Fry

Ah, stir fry... it's one of the easiest things to whip up and yet, is SO underrated when making it for yourself at home, don't ya think? Before embarking on my own fitness journey, I found that the only time I'd have a stir fry was when I was ordering it as takeout. (But when you really think about it - a stir fry is like the easiest thing to make for yourself ever! You literally just throw a bunch of ingredients in a pan or wok, and fry it up until it's warm, crispy and oh-so-flavourful!) For the busy babe with a million things on her plate - whipping up a healthy stir fry is 100% the way to go!

That's why, this Asian Sesame Beef Stir Fry totally gives you your takeout fix WITHOUT all the additional additives and calories that are hidden in most takeout/fast food stir fry dishes. And, if you prep it in bulk, like in my Asian Sesame Beef Lunch Prep, you'll have enough to take with you for lunch all week! Score!!

Recipe & directions available below.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 serving Asian Sesame Beef

  • 1/2 cup Crispy Roasted Broccoli

  • 1 cup cabbage, chopped

  • 1/3 cup basmati rice, cooked

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced

  • a sprinkle of sesame seeds

  • salt, pepper & chili flakes (to taste)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Heat a nonstick pan or wok to medium heat. (Add a touch of oil if you'd like; however, I usually just add a bit of water!)

  2. Throw in your rice and cabbage and fry until cabbage has softened.

  3. Add in your beef and broccoli, and mix together thoroughly.

  4. Toss in soy sauce, salt, pepper and chili flakes (if preferred) and combine. Ensure everything is fully incorporated before removing from heat and adding to a plate.

  5. Top with additional chili flakes, sesame seeds and green onions.

  6. Dig in!
