You guys are gonna LOVE this chili recipe! I've been making this for years now and it just gets better & better every time I make it.
My Homemade Turkey Chili recipe is the perfect make-ahead healthy meal that you can take with you absolutely ANYWHERE. It’s hearty, high-protein and filled with lots of good-for-you nutrients to keep you full, nourished and satisfied all day long.
What's even better? This chili recipe is SUPER easy and can be prepared in a crock pot. That way, you can come home to a fuss-free dinner that's been simmering and cooking for you without having to do much prep-work at all.
TIP: Top your bowl with some fresh avocado and a dollop of Greek yogurt for a cool & creamy addition to this warm, savoury dish!

I N G R E D I E N T S:
.5 kg extra lean minced turkey
1 cup, chopped onions
1 cup chopped bell peppers
1 cup chopped carrots
1 container tomato sauce
1 package low sodium chili seasoning
1 can red kidney beans
1 tbsp coconut oil
D I R E C T I O N S:
In a large pot, add ½ of your coconut oil, chopped onions and peppers and cook on medium heat. Mix thoroughly until they get soft.
Once soft, add carrots. Allow to sweat.
In a separate pan, fry up minced turkey with the rest of the coconut oil.
Once fully cooked, add turkey to the pot with your cooked vegetables.
Pour in tomato sauce and stir. Turn heat up and allow to simmer together until sauce begins to boil. Once boiling, stir ingredients and pour in chili seasoning and beans.
Cover pot and allow to simmer again. Leave pot simmering on medium-low heat for at least 20-30 minutes to really enhance the flavour. You can even put this in a crock pot and allow to simmer all day for even more flavour.
