2 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Worry About Posting That Photo
I spent a lot of time thinking about whether or not I should post this photo. It may be considered controversial to some people - which is why I’d like to explain WHY I’ve decided to share it.

REASON 1: People may make assumptions about ANY woman who shares a photo like this: “She’s an attention seeker, she’s showing off too much skin, she must value herself very little.”
Women have always been held to a double standard. Whether we’re comfortable or uncomfortable with showing parts of our body, we’re constantly SHAMED for something that is inevitably OUR CHOICE - to the point where we have to endure HOURS of worrying whether it’s worth it to wear something we’re comfortable in & risk being judged or wear something we don’t like but know we’ll be accepted.
LESSON 1: Worrying about others' opinions has been something I’ve struggled with my whole life. But, women shouldn’t have to feel AFRAID of sharing something because they think they’re going to be shamed, ridiculed or criticized. You do you.
REASON 2: It’s my job to make others feel more COMFORTABLE with their body, to CELEBRATE all body shapes and sizes & to teach others they can TRANSFORM their body via their nutrition, exercise & mindset.
So, when you look at a photo like this, it’s not because I'm trying to “show off” my curves in a way that’s sexualized. It’s not because I want crude commentary on my ass, nor do I want to make people uncomfortable. It’s because I’m genuinely PROUD of the body I’ve created & want to be able to share that FEELING with the world. I want to be able to encourage women of all shapes and sizes to LOVE THEIR BODIES and to be able to stand there in their underwear (if they want!) and feel completely AMAZING in their own skin.
LESSON 2: Life’s too short to worry about what other people think. We should all be able to celebrate each other’s successes instead of tear each other down.
I hope everybody can move forward today feeling a little more confident & learn not to judge other people for the choices they make with their own bodies.
