Has anyone ever felt like they’re running on a treadmill that keeps getting faster, but they can’t seem to get off?
If you've ever felt like you aren't really in control of your own life - you're just stuck going through the motions - you are not alone.
I remember SO many moments in my past when I was just "going through the motions", because I was so used to performing the moves that I forgot where it was actually taking me. I would continue on, because it was easier than readjusting my goals and less scary than stopping completely.
But was it really worth it? HELL NO.
Whether it’s your exercise routine, your job, your schooling, or anything in between - it is NEVER worth it to sacrifice your time, your goals and (most importantly) your health for something that is no longer SERVING you or taking you in the direction you want to go.
Life is all about change. TRANSFORMATION is all about change. And the only way to transform yourself into the person you ultimately want to become is to embrace that change. Even when it’s difficult. Even when it’s scary.
Give yourself permission to jump OFF the treadmill when you're tired, when your goals have shifted or you're no longer interested in the end result. It's OKAY to admit that something isn't working anymore. And remember: nothing worth achieving ever comes easy, but know in your heart that it will all be worth it.
